If you want to track a specific satellite and it is not one of the current satellites that are being tracked by DESA Satellite Tracker, click on ‘Select Satellites’. The following screen will be displayed:
Select the satellite on the left and click on ‘Track Selected Satellite’. When you click on close you will see that the satellite is now being tracked.
If you do not see the satellite in the list, you need to add its Two-Line element data. Two-Line Element sets are data supplied by NORAD about satellites.
The data gives information about the satellite that is needed to calculate its current position.

When you have found the file that has the data about the satellite you want to track, you need to add the location of the file. Copy the file URL. Example, if you want to add the file with the new satellites, you copy the link below:
http://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/tle-new.txt
In DESA Satellite Tracker, click on ‘Update Satellite Data’ and select the ‘Manage Satellite Data Sources’.
Click on Add Data Source and add the new source.
Click ‘Add’ and then select the ‘Update Satellite Data’ tab and click on Update.
You can now add the satellite as described in the beginning of this article.
