In short, DESA Satellite Tracker downloads data about the orbit of satellites. In general, it takes at least six parameters to uniquely define an orbit and a satellite's position within the orbit (click on the image below to see more).
The orbits of some satellites change over time (for example when the ISS needs to get out of the way of space junk!). It is therefore needed to update your data every once in a while. This is easily done in DESA Satellite Tracker with a click of a button.
